Written and reviewed by Dr Ibrahim Imam, Consultant Neurologist. Last reviewed .
Menkes disease. This is caused by mutations in the ATP7A gene. The gene encodes a copper-transporting P-type ATPase. Fully referenced neurology checklist.
Genetics
- This is caused by mutations in the ATP7A gene
- The gene encodes a copper-transporting P-type ATPase
