Convexity subarachnoid haemorrhage (cSAH). This is a non-aneurysmal SAH. It accounts for about 6% of cases of SAH. Fully referenced neurology checklist.
Pathology
- This is a non-aneurysmal SAH
- It accounts for about 6% of cases of SAH
- It is isolated to the cortical surfaces
- The blood volume is less than in aneurysmal SHA
- It does not extend into the Sylvian or hemispheric fissure
- It does not involve the basal cisterns, the parenchyma or ventricles
- By contrast, aneurysmal SAH tends to occur around the Circle of Willis
