Written and reviewed by Dr Ibrahim Imam, Consultant Neurologist. Last reviewed .
Anti-MOG antibody disease (MOGAD): CSF features. Anti MOG antibody is less frequently detected in CSF than in serum. Fully referenced neurology checklist.
Anti MOG antibody
- Anti MOG antibody is less frequently detected in CSF than in serum
- It may be positive in CSF and negative in serum
- Positive CSF and MOG antibodies predict severer disease and poorer outcome
- Positive CSF anti-MOG is also seen with NMO and ADEM
